In this summer repeat, Patrick and Jonah continue their conversation on the mysteries of heaven and hell by exploring what it means for Christ to be “the Lord of the heavenly forces upon earth.” Beginning with John 8:12 and the image of Christ as the light of the world, they consider the ancient experience of the skies, sun, moon, stars, and seasons as living revelations of divine activity.

The conversation moves through Psalm 19, ancient sacred sites aligned with the sun, the Hebrew movement away from worshiping created things, and the Christian understanding that the heavenly forces have come to earth through Christ. Patrick and Jonah reflect on how these forces are no longer simply “out there” in the heavens, but are meant to awaken within human beings as light, wisdom, love, and moral strength.

Together they ask how human beings can learn to shine without burning out, how community can become a constellation of light, and how Golgotha becomes not only an event in history, but a living reality within us.
